2010 Infant Mortality Rate
The Alabama Department of Public Health recently released the 2010 infant mortality rates. Below are figures for each county in the three Gift of Life Maternity Care Program districts. Listed also are three-year infant mortality rates which are more stable rates because of the relatively small number of births in rural counties.

Gift of Life Nurse-Family Partnership Receives March of Dimes Grant
The Gift of Life Foundation announced that it has received a $15,000 community grant from the March of Dimes Alabama Chapter.  Funds from this grant will be used in Montgomery County to serve 25 first-time teen mothers by enhancing education and supporting services that focus on reducing disparities in birth outcomes.
