Health Tips
The Child Health Access Project wants to help you keep your baby healthy. For your baby's health you should:
- Pick a doctor or clinic and take your baby to the same place so
they have a complete record of your baby's medical history.
- Take your baby to the doctor or clinic on schedule, at the right
age.
- If your baby gets sick, go to your regular doctor for treatment as
soon as you can to keep the baby from getting even sicker.
When you are enrolled in the Child Health Access Project your Care Coordinator will:
- Help you with problems that affect your baby's health.
- Give you information about when to take your baby to the doctor.
- Remind you to make the appointments and keep them.
- Let you know about resources and programs to help you with your
baby.
Shots! Checkups!
- Babies need regular checkups even when they are not sick to make
sure they are growing like they should. Babies change fast and
sometimes need to be treated for things you might not notice.
- It is important that you get baby shots at the right time so your
baby will be protected against diseases. Babies can get sick easier
than adults and sometimes they get sicker because they are little.
Good
health care is a very important gift you can give your baby!
